To my father,
I want to say a few words to attempt to thank you for everything you have done for me during my 21 years thus far- Where I am today is a direct result of your guidance, support, and love. You have somehow shown me the parts of myself I couldn’t quite see yet, encouraging me to discover my gifts and chase my dreams. Thank you for all of your hard work, I know it sure cannot be too easy to live with and support a family of four women (and two girl dogs, too!). Just know that I truly appreciate everything that you have given me.
From a roof over my head, to words of wisdom and a college education, you have started me out on my life-path fully equipped. Even though I am growing up, making decisions on my own, and nearing my entry into the real world, don’t worry about me too much because you have taught me everything I need to know. Under your watchful care I have learned some of life’s most important lessons: how to ride a bike and ski, how to shoot a gun, what hard work looks like, and what to look for in a husband who will be a father to my kids one day (and a looong day away that is!!!!). Dad, today we take a day to celebrate you! Thank you for everything, I love you so much. Happy Father’s Day!
